What is TikTok ?

Tiktok can be defined in three words: Real, Short, Videos. Users freely have access to lots of filters, effects as well as a massive music library. Tiktok is an excellent app for everyone to make a beautiful video with beautiful music background just by a simple click on your phone.

Example of making tiktok video:

Here's the example of my video on Tiktok with 616 views and 147 likes. I know 600 views is not a big deal, but I mean, I'm just an ordinary people who wanna try Tiktok for fun can get 600 views. A non- profit organisation with a strong marketing team should consider to take this platform as another social media tool to promote their organisation.

The truth is many Tiktok stars have more than ten millions followers even though they are not mainstream celebrities. Therefore, your company can be one of them too.

How to use TikTok for business

In 2019 TikTok debuted a self-serve ad platform for advertisers.

Branded Hashtag Challenge

Hashtag challenge for an organisation is the most popular approach for brands on TikTok. Many brands and musicians like Sunsilk, NFL, Universal Pictures are getting in on the action. These campaigns motivate audiences to make videos around a specific hashtag, often using the same song or set of dance moves.

Brand takeover ads

When TikTok users open the app, a brand takeover ad will pop up. The ad can be an image, three-five seconds long video, GIF, and internal or external landing page links. TikTok only allows one advertiser for this format per day and guarantees five million audiences will see your ad.

It’s time for your company to use TikTok for digital marketing.
