Social media trends will continue to evolve through the creation of new opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Forsey (2022), delivered on the top 10 trends that occurred throughout 2022. Therefore, it is seen that the digital marketing trends will play a role in directing the organisation to be able to achieve their goals. However, for a company to be able to understand these growing trends through digital marketing by strategically implementing digital marketing campaigns, the following digital marketing trends need to be considered.



The top trend of 2022 stated that TikTok will dominate the social media space. TikTok has grown to be one of the biggest growing trends in social media. TikTok has over more than 2.6 billion downloads with over 1 billion active users (Chen, 2022). This indicates a high level of interest through producing content in the form of short, filmed videos. This it is seen that with TikTok producing enriched and quality content it is starting to show companies why they should get on board through using social media to get engage with customers through increasing brand awareness.
